Cookie Dough Yogurt

Jump to recipe

It’s the time of year for lots of cookies! As a kid, I always tried to sneak bites of dough when making Christmas cookies. If you like cookie dough, then you should try my cookie dough yogurt! It’s super easy to make and a filling and healthy treat that is high in protein and calcium.

Choose your yogurt

Any brand of yogurt will work, but Chobani is my favorite. Greek yogurt is much thicker and higher in protein than regular yogurt, so it's a good option for this recipe.

We all need some fat in our diets, so I prefer whole milk yogurt instead of nonfat. This recipe does include peanut butter though, so you may opt to use nonfat yogurt if you’re looking for a snack a little lower in fat.

Plain yogurt works well for cookie dough yogurt because you’ll be adding to it so it will still taste great while being lower in sugar.

Choose your add-ins

I like using Simple Truth’s 72% cacao dark chocolate chips, but any will work

Picking natural peanut butter is best to avoid added sugars. Feel free to use any nut butter, such as almond or cashew!

If you're looking for a sweeter treat, try adding a bit of pure maple syrup or honey.

Because of the Greek yogurt and peanut butter, this snack contains a whopping 15 grams of protein! It’s perfect when you need a filling snack or are looking for a healthy treat.
